Some gardens around the Schonbrunn palace.

Also in the gardens of Schonbrunn, these were actually called “fake Roman ruins”. I might have learned this after taking the picture.

This really was boys playing catch with an American football. First I’d seen of that over here. I have no idea if the boys themselves were American.
Lots more...

The Hofburg. Home of the Habsburgs for over six centuries. Don’t know what this building is though.

A closer look at the beatdowns these two guys are giving out.

No idea.

Right in the center of Hofbug (quite literally) there was this crazy little pea patch. No idea.

I’ve mentioned the construction going on in other cities before, but Vienna was BY FAR the most insane. If I wanted to, almost every photo could have looked like this.

More evidence of the above. I liked how they actually painted the scaffolding wrap to look like the building though.

I’ve never seen a city with so many horse drawn carriages. Thankfully my cold prevented me from the full experience, which I understand involved an odor of some sort.

This was a pay toilet in one of the underground stations. I think it was called the “Opera Bar” or something like that. There was opera music playing in here. Again, no idea how the mouth urinals fit into the setting.

A look into the Prater amusement park from the famous ferris wheel.

View into the city.

Yeah. That’s it.

A pretty good name for a restaurant, I thought.

Gives a good idea of the ornate detail in the Stephansdom cathedral.

We got to take an elevator to the top of the smaller of the two towers.

The colorful roof seemed a bit out of place on the cathedral.

Street people
That’s it.
great pics bryan
Susan, January 10, 2007 03:45 AM:I just came from there myself and thought your pics were awesome, they really caputred the things I loved the most about Wien
Susan, January 10, 2007 03:46 AM:oh and the scaffolding around the cathedral is still there and still looks exactly the same.
Craig, March 6, 2007 09:45 PM:In one of your pics you say that you are not sure what the building is with the dome and a large central opening with statues either side of it. That is the Hoffburg Palace's front door. Hope that helps guys ;)
