Lugano

Travels

November 7, 2005 04:42 PM

This afternoon our visitor left for home. This person does not want me to reveal his name or link to his travel site. What I can tell you is that he and his wife were on a European vacation and spent a fair amount of that vacation in Switzerland. They pretty much saw the entire country. He ended up extending his trip almost a week longer than planned and we took a quick jaunt out to Lugano for the weekend. It’s a nice little city in the southern Italian-speaking area of Switzerland. Unfortunately, his wife had to return home at the scheduled time for work related reasons. It was great having these guys around for a week or so. They were our first friend visitors. Here are a few pictures of our trip this weekend.

This person I can show you because she doesn't read this site.

The weather wasn't that great this weekend. It rained a bit and the hills were in the fog the entire time.

I've never seen so many dogs in a city before. If you know the mystery visitor, you will know this was pretty much the coolest thing in the world for him. He's actually hidden in this pic.

I thought the city was very empty. Perhaps the Italian-Swiss can't deal with a bit of rain.

A completely candid shot of Chizzy at the local fruit and veg.

Lugano looks beautiful. Seems like a fun place to visit. I love the pictures of Chiz, she looks very european and pretty. Is that a new coat? I like it.

Glad you guys had fun in Lugano! Sorry I missed it. Yes, I'm sure my hubby was in dog heaven there (and yes, I spotted him in the "Where's Waldo" shot). ;) Thanks again for your hospitality - we had a blast!!

Hi, I'm from Lugano.
Yes, the city is beautiful, but that's it. Is a little bit boring here. I love Lugano because it's my hometown, but I want to move from here because there are no opportunity.
